1: Do I have to take my car to the shop with the cheapest estimate?
No. Stevens Creek Rentals will work with your insurance company. Make sure you work with a collision center that does quality work, not just the least expensive option.
2: Where do I get a claim number?
Your insurance company will issue you a claim number at the time you report your accident. Make sure you bring it in with you when you come in to begin the repair process, and our collision team will do the rest.
3: How do I know if my car is determined to be a total loss?
A car is a total loss only when the price of repairs exceeds the insurance company's determined value of your vehicle.
4: How long will the repairs to my vehicle take?
This depends on the amount of work needed on your vehicle. You will be given an estimate of the time it will take to complete the repairs to your vehicle when the estimate is completed. You can check with your advisor for the specifics once your vehicle is being worked on.
5: Should I drive my car after an accident?
This really depends on damage to your vehicle. If you have any lights out, your car doesn't feel "quite right", parts are rubbing on tires, or your car is unsafe to drive, give us a call and we can arrange towing.
6: Can I get a ride home when I drop off my car?
Yes, Stevens Creek Rentals provides complimentary pickup and drop off service to anywhere locally or in town. It is important to us that each customer has a positive visit, and this is service is one way we try to achieve that goal.
7: How can I get a rental car?
If you need a rental car, check your insurance company's website for their approved agency and procedures. Your insurance agent will be able to provide information on the steps you should take to get a rental car.
8: Can you match the factory paint color?
As long as the paint on your vehicle is a factory color, we guarantee that the factory color will be matched.
9: Is there a warranty on the repairs to my vehicle?
Yes; Stevens Creek Rentals provides a guarantee on all repairs for as long as you own the vehicle.
10: Do I have to pay a deductible?
The amount of deductible that you will be responsible for is determined by your insurance policy. Please check your insurance policy or call your agent.
11: Who do I pay my deductible to?
If you aren't sure about your deductible, we recommend that you call your agent. They can tell you how much your deductible is, whether your insurance company has waived your deductible, or whether it will be your responsibility to pay the deductible when you pick up your vehicle.
12: What forms of payment do you accept?
Stevens Creek Rentals accepts cash, checks, and credit cards.
13: How do I access my reservation?
You will receive an email when you complete your reservation. All booking information is available in this email. You may also contact your rental location for information on your reservation by emailing Meylene@stevenscreeksubaru.com
14: How do I cancel my reservation?
You can cancel your reservation by following the reservation link that you received on the confirmation email, or by contacting Meylene Garcia at Meylene@stevencreeksubaru.com
15: Who is eligible to rent?
Rental drivers are required to be a minimum of 21 years of age.
16: What's the maximum number of days I can rent a subaru for?
Rentals are available on a daily or weekly basis for up to 30 days with 200 miles per day maximum. After the 200 miles, there is will a 25 cent charge per mile.
17: How is the daily rental rate calculated?
The daily rate is based on a 24-hour period that starts at the time the rental begins.
18: Are there any charges in addition to the daily rental rate?
The total cost of the rental could include additional changes including: state and local taxes or surcharges; penalties of higher rates for early or late returns, or for weekly or weekend rentals; additional drivers fees; refueling fees; cleaning fees. There is $250 hold that we put on a major credit card, which will be released once we receive our vehicle back in the same condition and fuel level.
19: How does fuel work?
You will receive your vehicle with a full tank of gas. When you return the vehicle, if there is less that what was originally on the vehicle, we will then charge a $25 refueling fee, plus $10 per gallon.
20: How does insurance work?
Renters are required to provide a current valid U.S. driver's license and proof of current full-coverage insurance (Insurance card or insurance app) at the time of vehicle pickup. Contact your Subaru rental locations for additional details, terms and conditions.
21: What vehicles are available?
Vehicles vary by dealer but generally you can expect to find our top-rated vehicles including the Impresa, Crosstrek, Forester, Outback, and the 7 or 8 passenger Ascent. All Subaru Just Drive rental vehicles have Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive.
22: What accessories or add-ons are available?
Accessories vary depending on the location in which you are renting and on each dealer's inventory. Generally, you can expect accessories that are relevant to the location you are in such as ski racks for ski areas.
23: Are pets allowed in rentals?
As much as we would like to accommodate our furry friend, unfortunately; due to possible allergies of some of our guest, we do not allow any pets in our vehicles.
24: Am I allowed to smoke in rental vehicle?
Smoking or vaping is not allowed in any Subaru Just Drive rental vehicles.
25: Can I return my just drive rental vehicle to my subaru rental location after business hours?
